Sunny Deol’s ‘Lahore 1947’ renamed as ‘Batwara 1947’; film to release on August 14

Bollywood star Sunny Deol’s much-awaited historical drama, Lahore 1947, has been retitled as Batwara 1947, the makers announced on Tuesday, June 9. The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, will release in theatres on August 14.

Aamir Khan Productions, the banner backing the film, unveiled a new motion poster to announce the news.

Batwara 1947 also features Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Karan Deol, Sargam Singh, Khhushi Hajare, and Kanikka Kapur.

With dialogues written by Rajkumar and Asghar Wajahat, the film has music scored by AR Rahman, cinematography by Santhosh Sivan, and editing by Sally Salgaonkar.
