After months of uncertainty and multiple postponements, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups has officially locked a new theatrical release date. Actor Yash announced on Sunday that the highly anticipated action drama will open in cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026.

The announcement was accompanied by a new poster from the film, featuring the tagline “Honour Thy Father,” offering fans another glimpse at the project as it moves closer to release.

The makers initially targeted March 19, 2026, setting up a major box-office clash with Dhurandhar 2. However, plans changed earlier this year as escalating geopolitical tensions in West Asia created challenges for the film’s international rollout, prompting the producers to rethink the release strategy.

In March, production banner KVN Productions shifted the film to June 4, citing disruptions to overseas distribution. That date also proved unworkable, leading to further delays before the makers settled on the newly announced August release window.

The film marks one of Yash’s most ambitious projects since the success of the K.G.F. franchise. In addition to starring in the lead role, the actor is also credited as a writer and producer.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups boasts a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth.

While plot details remain guarded, the film has generated significant anticipation due to its scale, cast, and the involvement of Yash, whose popularity has continued to grow following the global success of K.G.F: Chapter 2.
